How Spray Foam Insulation Oakland Works

Spray Foam Insulation Oakland insulates and air seals houses, additions, ADUs and garages across Oakland and the East Bay. We spray open-cell and closed-cell foam, insulate floors over crawl spaces, dense-pack existing walls, blow in cellulose and fiberglass, and clear out old insulation that is dirty, rodent-soiled or packed flat.

We start by looking. We go into the attic and the crawl space, check the walls, and look at any addition, ADU or garage you want done. We measure what is there and judge its condition. In older East Bay houses we pay close attention to old wiring, gaps around chimneys and the open framing that lets air run from the crawl space to the attic.

Then we put it in writing. In a mild climate, spray foam is the right tool in fewer places than in cold or hot regions, and we say so. Over a wide attic floor, sealing the gaps and blowing in loose fill is usually the better value. Foam earns its cost in tight cathedral ceilings, in walls opened during a remodel, and where sound control or moisture matter. When two methods work, the quote shows both.

How we work

  • Look before pricing. No phone quotes for spaces we have not seen.
  • Itemize. Material, depth or thickness, R-value and price for each area.
  • Seal, then insulate. Leaks are closed before anything covers them.
  • Protect the house. Covering, masking and a closed-off work area.
  • Re-entry time up front. You know how long to stay out after spraying.
  • Changes in writing. Work starts after you approve the quote.
